Note: This little angelic creature belongs to Italocremona's Corinne line, one of the very first versions produced in 1965. From the moment she arrived, I felt she was no ordinary doll. Her sweet, slightly Nordic face made me imagine her as a Polish girl; and so, Lenka was born. She is the oldest in my collection - and perhaps the wisest, too. She loves cats, the sea, fragile poppies, and slow evenings. She believes the evening is the most magical time of day, when the world gently retreats and the sky turns blue. In her little world, there is always a chair on the balcony, a diary full of words and a cup of white tea. She often writes poems, watches the clouds and dreams. Her Polish grandmother, she told me, taught her how to embroider and crochet.
